A Look Inside The Lost Daughter
Sarah is a young woman who has always dreamed of a life beyond her small village. But when her father dies suddenly, she is forced to leave her home and family to find work. She travels to London, where she finds work as a governess for a wealthy family. But Sarah's past is never far behind, and she soon finds herself caught up in a web of secrets and lies.
The family Sarah works for is the wealthy and influential Ashworths. Mr. Ashworth is a successful businessman, and Mrs. Ashworth is a society hostess. They have two children, Edward and Charlotte. Sarah quickly becomes attached to the children, but she also senses that something is not quite right in the Ashworth household.
Sarah soon discovers that Mrs. Ashworth is having an affair. She also learns that Edward is not Mr. Ashworth's biological son. Sarah is torn between her loyalty to the Ashworths and her desire to do what is right. She knows that she cannot stay in the Ashworth household, but she also does not want to leave the children she has come to love.
Sarah's decision is made for her when she is framed for a crime she did not commit. She is arrested and thrown in jail. Sarah is terrified and alone, but she is determined to prove her innocence. She knows that the only way to do that is to find out who is really behind the crime.
Sarah's journey to find the truth is a dangerous one. She must navigate the treacherous waters of Victorian society, and she must face her own demons. But Sarah is a strong and determined woman, and she is not afraid to fight for what she believes in.
